Introducing The Maple Leaf Baconator (MLB), and featuring the Mexican Locos Tacos Supreme!
Happy first week of summer, everyone! I know a lot of us take road trips, short and long, and one of the things we take advantage of are those fast food places we can’t frequent in our area.
You might say I know my way around a fast food menu, and two of the things I crave are the Baconator from Wendy’s, and anything from Taco Bell, especially a double decker taco or burrito. Those obsessions fuelled this week’s two featured pizzas: introducing the Maple Leaf Baconator™ (MLB)! We are also bringing back the Mexican Locos Tacos Supreme, last featured more than a month ago!
First, the MLB (also a great pizza for you baseball fans - just look at the initials!) features 3-4 pieces of grilled peameal bacon on a Sicilian crust, PLUS 2 strips of smoked bacon, PLUS ground beef, mozzarella, cheddar, red sauce …. and (phew!) finished with a ketchup mayo drizzle! I’m not saying this will give you the meat sweats, but it might. This beauty is yours for $25 and is our featured pizza of the week. (If you enjoyed the Big Mac pizza we make, this is the logical next step …)
Next, the Mexican Locos Tacos Supreme Pizza - with homemade enchilada sauce, refried beans, seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, tomato, (optional) jalapeños (seen here on only half the pizza, by request), crushed Fritos (for crunch), and finished with a sour cream drizzle!
This one is somewhat spicy (it all comes from my homemade enchilada sauce), so if you crave fast food Mexican flavours, we have put them all on a Sicilian pan pizza for your enjoyment. $20
As usual, we have our locally famous Halifax Donair Pizza, with our homemade donair meat, homemade garlicky donair sauce, atop a Grandma crust, and finished with tomatoes and onions. At $20, this one is a great value and an even better meal!
We are also putting on a Traditional Pepperoni Pizza in a Detroit pan for those who want something more familiar. Red sauce, mozzarella, and a double layer of pepperoni (with red sauce racing stripes on top), this is available for $18.
Lastly, because we love those who want something less meaty, we have our Vegetarian Pizza available with red sauce, mozzarella, tomato, red onion, green or black olives, mushrooms and green peppers in a Detroit pan for $18. (As always, let us know if you want us to take off any topping, and we would be happy to do so! This photo is of a custom Vegetarian we prepared on Saturday.)
This is our first weekend offering 5 different pizzas, and we are excited to be sharing them with all of you!

Payment is cash at the door, or e-transfer, if that is more convenient for you.
Based on demand, we will likely be bringing back the Philly Cheesesteak and Big Mac Pizzas next week (a little sneak peak for all of you), and next Wednesday - June 28 - we are going to start experimenting with some Chinese food for pick-up on Wednesdays.
The Chinese menu will likely be two entrees, served with either noodles or rice, priced at between $14 and $16, based on the protein, with a tighter ordering window - likely 530, 6 and 630 pick-ups - so I can get everyone’s order fresh and ready when you are.
If you are interested in being one of the first to try our Chinese takeout dishes, send me a text (even if you aren’t ordering pizza this week), to say you’d like to be sent the Chinese menu next Monday.
